Why a stablecoin helps
With a BTC balance, a 5% market drop costs you 5% even if you broke even on the games. With USDT, your balance moves only with your bets. That makes it easier to stick to a budget and to know exactly where you stand. It is also why many withdrawal rules are written in USDT: Bitcasino.io's 1,000,000 USDT weekly cap, Vave's 50,000 USDT instalment threshold.
The currency step
Canadians often forget that a stablecoin holds US dollars. Converting $200 CAD gives you roughly 145 USDT, depending on the rate. When you cash out, the CAD/USD rate may have moved. It is a small swing compared with Bitcoin, but it is there.

Network choice
USDT on Tron is cheap and confirms in about a minute; on Ethereum it can cost more. Choose the network in the cashier that matches your wallet. The USDT casinos page walks through the address check that prevents lost deposits.

Stablecoin gambling from Canada: the full cost
A stablecoin removes Bitcoin's price swings, but it does not remove the currency step. Canadian dollars become US-dollar stablecoins at the exchange, and back again on the way out. Each step carries a spread, and the USD/CAD rate moves between them. For most players the difference is small next to a session's result; for large balances held for months, it is worth knowing.
Stablecoin or Bitcoin: a quick decision
Choose a stablecoin if you want to count your results in dollars, deposit and withdraw often, or keep a gambling balance for weeks. Choose Bitcoin if you already hold it, accept that its price moves during your session, and prefer not to convert. Many players do both: hold Bitcoin as savings and gamble in USDT.
Questions and answers

Both aim for one dollar. USDT is issued by Tether and is the most widely accepted at casinos; USDC is issued by Circle. Acceptance and available networks differ by casino.

Do stablecoins ever lose their peg?
