The roll
A crypto dice game shows a slider from 0 to 100. You set a target, say 49.5, and choose under. The game rolls a number. Under 49.5, you win; over, you lose. Move the target and the payout moves with it.
| Win chance | Typical payout (1% edge) |
|---|---|
| 90% | 1.10x |
| 75% | 1.32x |
| 50% | 1.98x |
| 25% | 3.96x |
| 10% | 9.90x |
| 1% | 99x |
The formula is simple: payout ≈ (100 − house edge) ÷ win chance. That is why dice players talk about the edge first: it is the only thing that differs between two dice games with the same chance.
Provably fair, roll by roll
Each roll is derived from a server seed, your client seed and a nonce. After you rotate seeds, you can recompute every roll and check it. The provably fair page shows how.

Settings dice players use
- Auto-bet with a set number of rolls.
- On win / on loss rules that change the stake.
- Stop on profit / stop on loss limits.
Auto-bet can run hundreds of rolls a minute. Set the stop loss before the first roll.
Our partner crypto casino takes Bitcoin deposits and pays out in coin.

Bitcoin dice from Canada: what a roll costs
Crypto dice is played in coins, but the cost is easiest to read in dollars. Take a 1% house edge and a C$1 stake: on average each roll costs one cent. That sounds like nothing, until auto-bet runs 500 rolls in a few minutes and the expected cost reaches about C$5, with the swings around it much larger. A bitcoin dice session is cheap per roll and expensive per hour, which is why the stop loss matters more here than at slower games.
Two points for Canadian players in particular:
- Play in USDT if you think in dollars. A Bitcoin balance moves with the price of Bitcoin while you roll; our volatility article shows how that changes a session's result.
- Use a cheap network to top up. Dice players deposit often and in small amounts. Litecoin or USDT on Tron keeps each top-up cheap.
Dice strategies against the maths
| System | What it does | What it does not do |
|---|---|---|
| Martingale | doubles the stake after each loss | change the edge; a long losing run hits the table limit or your balance |
| Reverse Martingale | doubles after each win | protect a winning streak from one loss |
| Fixed stake, high chance | many small wins at 1.1x–1.3x | avoid rare large losses |
| Fixed stake, low chance | rare wins at 10x or more | shorten long dry spells |
Every system reshapes the swings; none changes the expected cost of about 1% of the total you bet. The real choice is how bumpy you want a session to be.
Dice and bonuses
Because the edge is low and rolls are fast, many casinos limit how much dice counts toward a bonus wagering requirement. Check the rules before using bonus funds; our wagering guide explains what to look for.
Dice players earn the most from cashback and rakeback, because volume is high and the edge is low.
Questions and answers
How does crypto dice work?
You choose a target number and whether the roll will land over or under it. The game rolls a number, usually between 0 and 99.99. If it lands on your side, you win the payout shown.
How is the payout calculated?
Roughly 100 divided by your chance of winning, minus the house edge. A 50% chance pays a little under 2x; a 10% chance pays a little under 10x.
What is the house edge on crypto dice?
Each casino sets its own. Many in-house dice games use about 1%, which is low compared with most casino games. Check the game's info screen.
Is crypto dice provably fair?
In-house dice at crypto casinos almost always is: each roll comes from a server seed, your client seed and a nonce you can check.
What is auto-betting in dice?
A setting that places bets automatically and can change the stake after wins or losses. It is fast, so set a stop loss before you start.
Is there a winning dice strategy?
No. Every roll is independent and carries the same edge. Systems like doubling after a loss change the swings, not the long-run result.
Which casinos are best for dice?
DuckDice is built around dice. Wolf.bet, Shuffle, BC.Game and Stake also run provably fair dice.
What is the minimum dice bet?
Very small, often fractions of a cent in crypto. That makes dice good for testing a casino with little at stake.
Can I play dice with USDT?
Yes, at casinos that take USDT. A stablecoin keeps your stakes in dollars.
Is dice good for clearing a bonus?
Often not: many casinos count dice only partly toward wagering, or exclude it. Read the bonus terms.
