Overtime: the rule that settles arguments
The same game can settle differently depending on the market. A 3–3 game won in overtime is a draw for a 3-way moneyline and a win for a 2-way moneyline. Read the market name and the sportsbook's rules before you bet.
Odds in decimals
Crypto sportsbooks usually show decimal odds. Convert to implied probability with 1 ÷ odds: 2.00 is 50%, 1.50 is about 67%. The sum of both sides' implied probabilities above 100% is the bookmaker's margin.

Puck line and totals in practice
The puck line is hockey's spread, almost always set at 1.5 goals. Betting the favourite at −1.5 means they must win by two or more; the underdog at +1.5 wins the bet if they lose by one or win. Because many NHL games end one-goal or with an empty-net goal late, the puck line is where the price changes most from the moneyline.
Totals in the NHL are usually set at 5.5 or 6.5 goals, with the price adjusted around them. Check whether the total includes overtime and the shootout; most sportsbooks count overtime goals, and count a shootout as one goal for the winner.
Live betting during a game
