Ethereum at a crypto casino
Nine of the thirteen casinos on our payout board list ETH in their cashier. Ethereum confirms a block about every twelve seconds, so a deposit usually lands within a few minutes. The cost is the gas fee, which can be cents on a quiet day and several dollars on a busy one.
Ethereum casinos in Canada: getting ETH
Every major Canadian exchange sells ETH, so the route into an Ethereum casino is the same as for Bitcoin: Interac e-Transfer to the exchange, buy ETH, withdraw to your own wallet, deposit at the casino. Some exchanges let you withdraw ETH or USDC directly on a layer 2 network, which is cheaper, but only use that if the casino cashier lists the same network.
Canadian players choose Ethereum casinos for two reasons. Some already hold ETH and prefer not to convert. Others want USDC, which is issued mostly on Ethereum and its layer 2s, and is accepted by fewer casinos than USDT. If neither applies, a cheaper network usually does the same job.
Gas, briefly
Every transaction on Ethereum pays gas. Your wallet estimates it before you send. A simple ETH transfer uses less gas than a token transfer such as USDT, so sending USDT on Ethereum costs more than sending ETH.
Two habits keep gas costs down:
- Send larger, less frequent deposits if you use Ethereum mainnet. The fee does not grow with the amount.
- Check the fee before confirming, and wait for a quieter time if it is unusually high.
Mainnet and layer 2s
Layer 2 networks such as Arbitrum, Optimism and Base run on top of Ethereum with much lower fees. A few casinos accept deposits on them. The address often looks the same as a mainnet address, starting with 0x, which makes mistakes easy: an address that starts with 0x does not tell you which network it belongs to.
The rule: send only on the network the casino cashier names. If the cashier says "Ethereum (ERC-20)", that means mainnet.

Two columns matter most for ETH players. The token list tells you whether you can keep a dollar balance on Ethereum: USDC at Wild.io, Rocketpot and Wolf.bet, DAI at Rocketpot. Ethereum games you can verify
Five of the nine run provably fair originals: Shuffle, Metaspins, Wolf.bet, DuckDice and BC.Game. In those games, dice, crash, plinko and the like, the result comes from a server seed you receive hashed before the round and a client seed you can change, so you can check afterwards that the outcome was fixed in advance. Ethereum sports betting
All nine run a sportsbook on the same balance as the casino, so an ETH deposit can go on hockey or football without a second account. Withdrawing ETH from a casino
Casinos that accept Ethereum generally pay out in ETH too, and some charge a flat withdrawal fee to cover gas. Because the fee does not depend on the amount, one larger withdrawal costs less than several small ones. Check the fee in the cashier before you confirm, and make sure the address you paste belongs to Ethereum mainnet unless the casino offers a layer 2 payout and you have chosen it on purpose.
Mistakes with Ethereum deposits
- Sending a token the casino does not list. Only tokens shown in the cashier are credited.
- Using a layer 2 by accident, because the wallet was set to it.
- Too little ETH for gas when sending USDT: the transfer fails and you still pay part of the fee.

Questions and answers
Which Ethereum casinos take USDC or DAI as well as ETH?
Of the nine on our board, Wild.io, Rocketpot and Wolf.bet list USDC; Rocketpot also lists DAI, and Wolf.bet lists OP, the token of the Optimism layer 2. The others list ETH and USDT. Check the network each token is offered on in the cashier.
Why are Ethereum fees so different from day to day?
Ethereum fees, called gas, are set by demand for space in each block. When many people use the network, fees rise; at quiet times they fall. The amount you send does not change the fee.
Can I deposit ETH from a layer 2 like Arbitrum or Base?
Only if the casino lists that network in its cashier. ETH on a layer 2 sent to an Ethereum mainnet address may not arrive. Choose the exact network the cashier shows.
Is ETH or USDT better for a casino deposit?
